I had just went to Bible study and was so pleased to find this post aligned precisely with the Word we discussed today.
So I need to quickly share this because we all need this.
I'm sure you're guilty. Well...let's me just say that I am. I will go first. Hello. My name is LaShundra, and I'm guilty.
Now you respond-
"Hi, Guilty!"
Yep.
You're polite in public. Smiling and saying, "how are you?" to complete strangers. You don't know them. That's what makes them strangers, of course. You know! Put your best foot forward with all that smiling and being approachable.
Okay, okay...
Some of you may have RBF. Resting B**** (rhymes with witch) face. BUT, you're still pretty nice. Right?
Then you get home. Now you're instantly annoyed, irate, attitude, and expecting some mess to pop off as soon as you wake up or step foot through the door. Now you got the house tiptoeing and you ready to cuss someone out.
(Okay now, I said I was guilty, but I didn't cuss people out nah.)
So tell me...Where's the grace?
Not saying maybe the people at home are the nicest to you; really think about it. We don't struggle painting on that smile for the public but behind closed doors we allow all hell to break loose and run amuck.
Let's change that. I changed that. I required those around me to change it to.
You heard me right. REQUIRED.
Now it's without effort. Perhaps it's rather easy for me since I'm naturally introverted anyway, so my family has always gotten the best of me but the worst used to come along with it.
It's mind over matter. We have to be mature enough to have a better handle, control over our emotions and how we respond to what happens around us. We cannot control others but you, my friend, GP Squad, Jesus Gang Gang on the set- the Lord's set, can indeed control yourselves and what you out forth into the atmosphere.
How many times has God granted you grace? Can you afford to give it?
Grace is free if you give it freely. It may only cost you to let go and let God. That's not a bad price if there was one, is it?
My most favorite place to be is at home. My place of peace, comfort, serenity, and most importantly blessed and favored by the Lord. Home Sweet Home. Lord, thank you for your grace.
Have a most graciously blessed day, GP squad.
Oh and I learned a new term!
